Go on an adventure, a trip to a destination you’ve never been before. In order to gain more confidence it’s important we break a pantern. In stead of sitting in front of the television scrolling through your Instagram feed, go online and search for the cheapest plane tickets to an unknown destination. I’ve been to America last summer for two weeks after a long period of not going on a holiday at all, and when I got back home I felt reborn, it was so good to be gone for a while.
Go on a self-defence sport like boxing or Krav Maga, alone or with a friend. Knowing you’re physically strong makes your mind automatically feel more confident and stronger too.

Find a style that really reflects your personality or the person you are becomming. You have to feel good in the clothes you are wearing in order to feel good, or at least a little better, about yourself and your appearance. Never dress to look like somebody else, it will leave you feeling empty. Find out what really looks good on your body and rock it.
Throw away your phone a few hours a day. Social media and it’s pressure can be very messed up sometimes. Beside that, a lot of people will comepare themselves to the images they see online. That’s no good for your confidence. So, in stead of looking at pictures go outside and take them yourself.
If, for example, you never dared to post that video of yourself singing or if you never dared to put that article online which you’ve written yourself. Why not post in anyway but with a different name? It makes it less scary in the first place and this way it feels less personal. You get the feedback you want and you’ll get used to ‘speaking up’ in a safer way. Nothing wrong with that.
And I’m not necessarily talking about going skydiving. But change little things that you are so used to. Break a small patern. It can be very easy. For example, find different ways to reach your house, walk home a different way. Who knows what will come acros? Cook something different, something you’ve never eaten before.
And last but not least, be yoursef. If someone doesn’t respect you for the person you are they are not worth your time. Trust me, there’s plenty of fish in the sea.
I hope this was useful, have a great Sunday!
