A Little Chat

Howdy! How is everyone doing? I hope each and everyone of you got to enjoy a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones! Also, may 2017 bring you lot’s of happiness and I hope you’ll remain (or become!) healthy!

I’ve been keeping my next trip really quiet but it’s time to come clean. I’m going to Marrakech (Morocco) real soon! Like real soon. I’m always really excited to go on a trip but this time it’s different. Because the Moroccan culture and traditions are so different from what I’m used to. I’m sure it’s going to be a great adventure. Also, the buildings, clothing, music, nature and environment are so unique, I’ve never been to North-Africa in my life before and I’m sure it will be such an interesting experience.

Like I said, I hope you had a lovely Christmas! Mine has been a little rough. I’ve been working all Christmas and I’m having a few personal issues I need to work out. So, most of my free time I’ve been spending in bed feeling a little down or out in the woods while taking a walk and clearing my mind. Also, I’ve been stressing out lately about my graduation, tests and my coming up internship. So, fingers crossed good times are about to come and hopefully when 2017 kicks in things will get a little better.

Also, fun fact about my outfit: during my last internship my co-workers said I looked like a Glee-cheerleader dressed like this haha. 😉

Alright, enough sadness for now. Let’s embrace the happiness and get comfortable with life the way it is. Because at the end of the day everything happens for a reason. Beside that I want you to know that hurt, anger, sadness, happiness and love are a part of being alive. You can build a wall around yourself and never let such feelings touch your heart, but in the same time you’re not living at all. Life is this crazy rollercoaster of emotions and things happening to you. I think it’s safe to say that being an ‘ice queen’ isn’t always the best idea, I felt like it was the best idea for a long time, but trust me, it’s not. It literally adds nothing to your existence.

I hope todays blogpost was still fun to read even though it’s been a little on the down side. Apart from my Marrakech news of course!

Wishing you all the best and all the love of the world for 2017!

Loved your top and boots and what for beautiful hair! You look lovely! It’s sad that you were not feeling good and you are maybe overwhelmed because of tests, so your trip to Morocco will be perfect to fuel batteries up and to relax a bit, discovering another place and culture. I hope you have a lot of joy and strength in 2017, may all your wishes come true – and cheer up, a new year has new opportunities! Enjoy the trip!

You’re not alone in not having the best Christmas, it sounds like we’re going through something similar. But you’re right – sadness is also part of life, and it’s not good to dwell on it for too long. Happy New Year and enjoy your trip to Morocco!
